OSCE representatives conducting monitoring exercise in territory of Terter region meet with head of EP

The Office of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office in accordance with its mandate is conducting the next ceasefire monitoring exercise on the Line of Contact (LOC) of the armed forces of Azerbaijan and Armenia, in the territory of Terter region, APA’s Garabagh bureau reports.

The Personal Representative`s field assistants Mihail Olaru and Simon Tiller who visited the LoC to carry out the monitoring exercise from the territory of Azerbaijan have met with Chief of Terter Region Executive Power Mustagim Mammadov.

Mustagim Mammadov told APA that during the meeting OSCE representatives have been informed that Armenians regularly violated the ceasefire after the last monitoring in the territory.

The head of Executive Power also stated that Armenians’ not paying attention to the negotiations at the meeting and constantly to create tension in the frontline have been discussed: “The last 6 months also coincided with cultivation and harvesting of products of local residents in the frontline settlements.

During this period Armenians targeted the local residents and made difficulties in irrigation of arable land by blocking the Sarsang water reservoir. I have also brought these to the attention of OSCE representatives.”

OSCE representatives left for Borsunlu village direction in order to conduct monitoring n the Line of Contact (LOC) of troops.

Note that the Personal Representative Andrzej Kasprzyk, his field assistants Ognjen Jovic and Ghenadie Petrica will carry out the monitoring exercise on the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan occupied and controlled by the armed forces of Armenia.
