504 people died in road and transport accidents in Azerbaijan this year

The State Statistics Committee disclosed statistics of road and transport accidents occurred during January-September of this yearç the Committee told APAş

During January-September of 2020, 1145 or 10,1 percent less road and transport accidents compared to relevant period of 2019 took place in the country, the number of people who sustained damage as a result of these accidents decreased by 12,0 percent and was 1527. Of which 504 died, while 1023 were wounded. 41,7 percent of the accidents took place in daytime, 38,3 percent – at night, while 20,0 percent – in twilight time, 29,8 percent – fell on Saturdays and Sundays of the week.
