On January 6-7, 2021, Agency received series of information on the discovery of shells in Agdam, Agjabadi, Fuzuli, Gubadli, Zangilan, Tartar regions, and Shusha city. 6 (six) requests submitted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs "102″ Service Call Center, and 1 (one) by the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Based on the received 7 callouts, the Agency's special mobile rapid operational teams together with the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs carried out 13 operational and urgent visits. During the operational-search activities 216 pieces unexploded ordnance (UXO), 2 pieces anti-personnel mines, 40 pieces anti-tank mines, 2 pieces weapons, 2 pieces training projectiles, 3 527 pieces small arms ammunition of different calibers, and 11 pieces exploded shell remnants were found.
The Agency's disposal team destroyed 1,141 pieces mines and unexploded ordnance (UXO), and Mine Risk Education specialists conducted mine risk education sessions and safety instructions among 80,641 civilians.
