Baku Traffic Police appeals to drivers and pedestrians on worsening weather condition

The Main State Road Police Department (MSRPD) has appealed to drivers and pedestrians in regard to weather condition, APA reports citing the appeal received from the Department.

According to the information issued by Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, beginning from 02.01.2020, the sharp changing of weather conditions on the country’s territory has been observed.

“Due to this, in order to prevent the undesirable cases that could occur on roads, the Main State Road Police Department appeals once again to the drivers and states that they should be attentive when driving their vehicles and they should select the speed limit in accordance with the conditions. Taking into account that the roads are covered with ice in some mountainous territories of the country, the drivers should refrain from sharp braking, unnecessary overtaking and making other maneuvres in such weather conditions. Besides, the pedestrians should also comply with safety measures on roads more strictly taking into consideration the changing of the weather conditions. We would recommend pedestrians to wear colorful cloths when coming out to the road and to cross road without creating a danger for themselves and other traffic participants in dark hours of a day and under poor visibility conditions”, the appeal reads.
