Terter District Prosecutor Office received information on stepping on an anti-tank mine of a Nivar car of citizens Bakhtiyar Mahmudov and his relative Elshan Abbasov with the unknown state number in the territory of Talish village, liberated from occupation at about 6:00 p.m. on February 18, Terter District Prosecutor Office told APA.
It has been determined during conducted investigation that mentioned persons came to the territories, liberated from occupation, got off the car, and Bakhtiyar Mahmudov came to front of the car and stepped on a mine.
During the inspection of the scene by prosecutors, including forensic experts, body fragments were found in the area, A forensic medical-genetic examination was ordered to determine whether the fragments belonged to Bakhtiyar Mahmudov and Elshan Abbasov, who witnessed the incident, was interrogated.
Tartar District Prosecutor's Office has launched a criminal case on the fact.
Currently, intensive investigative measures are underway in the criminal case.
