Drug smuggling from Iran to Azerbaijan prevented

The illegal bringing on our country’s territory of massive amount of narcotic substances has been prevented by the State Border Service, the Press Service of the State Border Service told APA.

At around 01:30 on June 2 of the current year, a car with two people inside was detained in the service area of the Goytapa border post.

Total weight of 9 kg and 350 grams (4 kg 265 gr of substances similar to heroin, 2 kg 10 gr of methamphetamine, 2 kg and 5 gr of opium, 1 kg and 70 gr of marihuana and 490 medicines have been detected and taken.

Criminal case has been launched regarding the fact. The detained persons have been involved as accused persons, and the arrest measure have been selected.
