Execution of Pardon order has been started, APA reports.

The order “on pardoning several convicted persons” signed on March 18 by President Ilham Aliyev, is applied to 625 people.

Under the order, 475 people sentenced to imprisonment have been released from the unserved part of their sentences.

The unserved part of the sentences of 98 persons sentenced to imprisonment has been reduced by half.

The sentences of 3 people sentenced to life imprisonment have been replaced to 25 years in prison.

At the same time, two people have been exempted from the conditional sentence.

Three people sentenced to imprisonment and whose sentences were suspended have been released

9 people sentenced to deprivation of liberty, 12 people sentenced to correctional labor were released from the unserved part of the sentence, and 23 people sentenced to fines were released from fines.

The order also applies to 23 people from 6 foreign countries.

22 of them were released from the unserved part of the sentence and the unserved part of the sentence of one foreign citizen was reduced by half.
