Fire at EuroHome building materials market in Baku extinguished - PHOTO - VIDEO - UPDATED

A 3300-square-meter area of the EuroHome construction materials market with a total area of 22,500 square meters burned in the Binagadi district of Baku, Chief of the State Fire Protection Service of the ministry Fuzuli Asadov told APA.

According to Asadov, another area was protected from fire.

32 vehicles of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and 145 personnel were involved in the area.

A fire at the EuroHome construction materials market in Baku's Binagadi district has been extinguished, Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Etibar Mirzayev told APA.

The deputy minister said the fire had already been extinguished. "Cooling work is underway in the area. According to preliminary information, the fire covered 6760 square meters of the first floor of the market."

A second call was made when the first information about the fire was received.

A headquarters has been set up in the area in connection with the incident.

Shopkeepers are trying to get their goods out.

112 hotline of the Emergency Situations Ministry of Azerbaijan received information about a fire in the EuroHome construction materials market located in the Binagadi district of Baku, APA reports.

Firefighters of the State Fire Protection Service and Special Risk Rescue Service of the Ministry were immediately involved to the scene.

Firefighting works underway.
