Arrested former Head of Consulate Department of Azerbaijani MFA brought to court - UPDATED

Former Head of Consulate Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) Faig Baghirov has been brought to court, APA reports.

Petition regarding replacement of remand in custody measure chosen in his regard with home arrest is being reviewed in Sabail District Court with the chairmanship of Judge Azer Taghiyev.

Head of Consulate Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) Faig Baghirov has submitted petition regarding replacement of remand in custody measure chosen in his regard with home arrest, APA reports.

His petition will be considered today at the court proceeding chaired by judge Azer Taghiyev in Sabail district Court.

Note that F. Baghirov was detained by the State Security Service.

The remand in custody measure for the period of 4 months was chosen in his regard by decision of Sabail District Court.
