Head of executive power of Azerbaijan’s Kurdamir region accused on basis of 4 clauses of Criminal Code - ACCUSATION

The accusations raised against head of the Kurdamir region executive power Jeyhun Jafarova have become known, APA reports citing the Electronic Court System.

J.Jafarov is considered guilty on the ground of clauses 308.2 (abuse of official powers), 311.3.1-ci (taking of bribe by a group of persons who were in agreement preliminarily or by an organized gang), 311.3.2-ci (taking of bribe – when committed repeatedly) and 311.3.3-ci (taking of bribe – when committed in massive quantity) of the Criminal Code.

J.Jafarov will be brought before the court today. The petition in regard to choosing remand in custody measure about him submitted by the investigation agency will be considered in Binagadi district Court.

Note that J.Jafarov was detained yesterday as a result of the operation conducted by the Main Department for Fight Against Corruption under the General Prosecutor. It is stated that together with him, the first deputy head of the executive power Tajeddin Novruzov, head of territorial management department Natig Kerimov and other senior officials have also been brought to responsibility.
