Husband of woman, tested positive for coronavirus, attacked doctor staff and police with fork in Azerbaijan

Husband of a woman, who tested positive for coronavirus, has attacked the doctor team and police with a fork in Samukh district, APA reports.

The incident was recorded last day.

The doctors’ brigade of Samukh Regional Central Hospital accompanied by police officers went to the address in the region’s Fuzuli region where a woman infected with coronavirus lives in order to place her in a special hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, the woman’s husband creating obstacles to the work of and showing resistance to the doctors’ brigade, attacked them with the fork which he held in his hand.
The head of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, police colonel Ehsan Zahidov confirmed this fact in his statement to APA.

He said the man attacking the doctors was immediately neutralized: “The police officers accompanying the doctors immediately interfered in the incident and putting their lives at risk neutralized and detained the attacking person”.

E. Zahidov also noted that the woman infected with coronavirus has been placed in a special quarantine hospital.

Meanwhile, the administrative protocol has been drawn up in regard to the woman’s husband according to clause 535 of the Administrative Offences Code.
