“The activeness continues on landslide area on the right slope of main motor car road between Badamdar settlement and 20th county”, Aziz Garalov, Head of Mining Planning Party of National Geological Exploration Service of Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources said in his statement to APA.
He said today in the morning he visited the landslide territory again: “Tension still remains. Small collapses occur on the landslide area. Currently no change has been recorded in dimensions of the landslide area. There were some cracks, and visible growths are already observed in those cracks”.
A. Garalov stated that it is impossible to suggest something in order to prevent landslide at the moment: “It is impossible to step up to the sliding mass, it is dangerous. Process should end completely, landslide should be stable. Then the Commission should review the territory and put forward certain suggestions.”
Note that an activity was observed in landslide zone of Badamdar settlement of Baku at early hours of January 9. The sliding mass with width of about 100 m moving in the direction of highway between Badamdar – 20th Area, closed the road.
