Ministry of Emergency Situations issued information about missing of an oilman

The ministry’s hot line call center 112 received information about missing of Kazymov Elshan Safiyar born in 1975 working in the position of operator on stationary offshore platform owned by Absheronneft Oil and Gas Extraction Department of Azneft Production Unit of SOCAR company on 09.08.2020, while he was on duty, APA reports citing the ministry’s website. The rescue and amphibious detachment of Especially Risky Rescue Service on board of a helicopter of Aviation detachment of the Ministry of Emergency Situations have been involved in searches. An oilman has got lost in the Caspian Sea, "Azneft" Production Union told APA.

According to the Union, it was determined that Kazimov Elshan Safiyar, working as an operator on oil and gas production in the stationary seabed of the "Absheronneft" Oil and Gas Production Department No 1100 was not at the seabed at the end of the shift - at about 7:00 p.m.

“For the last time, Kazymov Elshan provided to oil and gas production foreman Vidadi Aliyev the information about conducting of measuring works in the wells ## 1110 and 1111 at about 15:40 on that day. Later his shoes were found in front of the small house where he stayed, his mobile phone was on table, while his waistcoat was found in condition of being hung on handrail of those premises. The search for the employee was conducted on the site, but he couldn’t be found. Information about his missing was given to senior officials, the search works were conducted in the adjacent area of the sea by means of ships and divers. Currently, the search works are being continued by means of helicopter, ships and drivers”, reads the information issued by Azneft Production Unit.
