Persons being on international wanted list were caught in Russia and were extradited to Azerbaijan

Based on requirements of the national legislation and the international agreements endorsed by us including the Minsk Convention “About legal assistance and legal relations under civil, family and criminal cases” the requests were made by the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan in regard to extradition of persons who committed crime on the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan in order to bring them to criminal responsibility in the framework of bilateral relations with the general Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation, the General prosecutor’s office told APA.

The grounded suspicions were determined in regard to the repeated committing of roguishness by appropriating other people’s property via abuse of trust and deception and causing damage in significant and massive amount to the aggrieved persons by Zamanov Ogtay Sultan acting as a member of a group of persons whom he made a dealing with preliminarily in Baku City during 2015-2017 who is accused under the criminal case considered by Baku Grave Crime Court; beating with hooliganism intention on 08.01.2019 in Baku City of Parkhomenko Vadim Eduardovich by Gurbanov Musa Afrail brough to responsibility in the capacity of the accused person under the criminal case considered by Khazar district court and causing of bodily injury evaluated as deliberate infliction of less grave damage to health that wasn’t dangerous for life but resulted in long-term health deterioration.

The aforementioned persons were put on the international wanted list.

The requests made by the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation on the grounds of necessity of determination of location of the persons being on the wanted list were satisfied and Ogtay Zamanov and Musa Gurbanov were extradited to our country with accompaniment of special convoy of Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice.
