Remand in custody measure chosen in regard to Faig Baghirov - UPDATED

The presentation of the investigation agency about choosing of remand in custody measure in regard to the former ambassador of Azerbaijan to Turkey, the head of the Consulate Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Faig Baghirov has been considered in Sabail disatrict Court of Baku City, APA reports.

The presentation was satisfied at the court proceeding held under chairmanship of the judge Shahin Abdullayev. The remand in custody for the period of 4 months has been chosen in regard to Faig Baghirov.

The former ambassador of Azerbaijan to Turkey, the head of the Consulate Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) Faig Baghirov has been brought to court in connection with choosing of remand in custody measure in his regard, APA reports.

Currently, the presentation of the State Security Service (SSS) is being considered under chairmanship of the judge Shahin Abdullayev at Sabail district Court of Baku City.

Remind that the charge has been raised in regard to F. Baghirov based on clauses 179.3.2 (in case of committing of appropriation in massive amount), 308.1 (going beyond official powers) and 1.3.2 (taking of massive amount of bribes) of the Criminal Code.
