State Security Service confiscates mass amount of narcotic drugs, smuggled from Iran - VIDEO

As a result of operational-research measures conducted by the State Security Service of Azerbaijan (SSS), illegal turnover of a mass amount of narcotic drugs, psychotropic, and strongly-effective substances, smuggled from the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Azerbaijan, has been prevented in the country, SSS told APA.

Mass amount of narcotic drugs - 19 kg 736,04 g of heroin, 10 kg 149,75 of opium, 3 kg 788,18 g of dried marijuana, 104,44 g of methadone, psychotropic substances- 19 kg 786,10 g of methamphetamine, and 75 g of strongly-effective substance have been found and taken from citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan Humbatov Vugar Huseyn and Aliyev Elnur Telman, who obtained them illegally for sale.

A criminal case has been launched in the State Security Service with the Articles 206.3.2, 234.4.1, 234.4.3, and 240.3.2 in this regard, Humbatov Vugar Huseyn and Aliyev Elnur Telman have been brought to responsibility as accused persons and an arrest warrant has been issued on them with the court decision.

Investigative-operational measures, aimed at the determination of other participants of the mentioned criminal cases, are underway now.
