Structural changes and new appointments made in General Prosecutor’s Office

The reforms implemented in all areas under leadership of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in order to ensure continuous progress of our country are also successfully continued in court and law system, the General Prosecutor’s Office told APA.

Some departments of the General Prosecutor’s Office have been terminated and on their basis, the departments for Organization and control of execution, Internal investigations, International legal cooperation, Legal provision and human rights, Criminal science and information technologies, Arrangement of work over documents and appeals have been established, besides, the new departments for Extra-criminal prosecution legal proceedings and Special confiscation issues’ coordination have been established under the central administrative office.

Based on the order signed by the leader of the state, Heydar Mammadov has been appointed to the position of deputy General prosecutor, while based on the relevant decrees signed by the General prosecutor Nemat Avazov has been charged with fulfillment of the position of head of the newly established Investigation department under the General Prosecutor’s Office, Natig Abdullayev has been appointed head of the department for Control over implementation of laws in investigation, inquiry and operation and search activities of internal affairs agencies under the General Prosecutor’s Office, Elshan Abbasov has been appointed head of the department for Organization and control over execution under the General Prosecutor’s Office, Natig Huseynov – head of the Human resources department of the General Prosecutor’s Office, Kamal Gylyjov – head of the department for Internal investigations under the General Prosecutor’s Office, Murad Dadashov – head of the department for Criminal science and information technologies under the General Prosecutor’s Office, Anar Mammadov – deputy head of the Main Department for Fight against Corruption under the General Prosecutor, while Sardar Imanov has been appointed to the position of the prosecutor of Khatai district.
