The application of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Justice regarding surrender to the USA of Pakistani citizens – Asif Muhammad Anjum born in 1982 and Khani Shah Navaz born in 1985 – has been considered at Baku City Grave Crimes Court, APA reports.

The representatives of Ministry of Justice, Chief Prosecutor’s Office, the employees of the USA and Pakistani Embassies in Baku City also participated in the proceedings held under the chairmanship of the judge Ali Mammadov.

It became known that the Supreme Court of the New York state of the USA delivered a judgment regarding the Pakistani citizens. They are accused of committing such deeds as seizure of private information, fraudulence and theft. These persons who were placed on the international wanted list by the US were detained in Azerbaijan a few months ago.

Pakistani citizens, however, disagreed with the allegations and said they had never been to the United States. They wanted to be detained in Azerbaijan.

In response to a question, a security officer at the US Embassy in Baku said not well informed about the details of the alleged charges. The representative said that he would provide written information in the next hearing. Pakistanis are suspicious of committing crimes over the internet, not in the US.
