Another four people arrested over Nardaran events released

Another four people arrested over the events that took place in Baku’s Nardaran settlement in 2015 have been released.

A court has passed a relevant decision according to which, Vidadi Alkhasov, Huseyn Nabizade, Urfan Nabizade and Vasif Aliyev were released from prison.

The decision on their release was taken on the basis of the presidential order (dated February 10, 2017) on improving work in the penitentiary system, humanizing the punishment policy and expanding alternative punishments and procedural enforcement measures not associated with isolation from society.

Earlier, 14 people arrested over the Nardaran events were released.

The police conducted a special operation in Baku’s Nardaran settlement on November 26, 2015. Two police officers and four local residents died, and one more person was injured in clashes that erupted during the operation.
