Azerbaijani woman confirmed dead in St. Petersburg metro blast - <span style="color: red;">UPDATED

The Consulate General of Azerbaijan in St. Petersburg has confirmed the death of Azerbaijani Dilbara Aliyeva in the St. Petersburg metro blast on April 3.

An investigation is underway to find out whether she was an Azerbaijani citizen or not, Azerbaijan’s Consul General in St. Petersburg Sultan Gasimov told APA on April 4.

“Wounded Dilbar was admitted to the Janelidze Research Institute of Emergency Medicine yesterday”, said Gasimov, adding that consulate representatives are currently at the hospital.

According to latest data, 11 people were killed and 45 hospitalized following the St. Petersburg metro blast, TASS reported citing the Information Center of the National Anti-Terrorist Committee (NAK).

Azerbaijani woman Dilbara Aliyeva, 21, is reported to have been killed in the St. Petersburg metro blast on April 3, Russian news portal Life.ru reported citing social network users.

The portal also posted the photo of the Azerbaijani woman.

According to social network users, Aliyeva was hospitalized with serious bodily injury. However, she couldn’t be saved.
