Azerbaijani female member of Georgian criminal gang detained in France

Thirty-four members of a Georgian criminal gang were detained in France and Greece as a result an operation called “Caucase Normandie” carried out on April 16-17, APA reports citing Georgia’s Interior Ministry.

Four Georgian so-called thieves-in-law are among the detainees.

In total, 15 members of the transnational organized criminal group were detained in France, including 14 Georgian and 1 citizen of Armenia; 23 citizens of Georgia were detained in Greece. They had been robbing apartments and shops, and selling the stolen items.

Investigation is in progress under the relevant articles of the Greek and French Criminal Codes.

Among the Georgian citizens detained in France there is an Azerbaijani woman, called Ellmira Mustafayeva (born in 1970).
