Baku. Malahat Najafova – APA. A 23-year old Azerbaijani woman died during childbirth at a maternity hospital in the Russian city of Blagoveshchensk on Dec. 2, according to TELEPORT2001 information portal.
According to information, physicians did everything possible in order to save the mother, but failed. Fortunately, the newborn was saved and is now in the hospital under medical supervision.
The deceased’s relatives accused the physicians of negligence, saying that they were informed about the death of the woman a day later.
The Investigative Committee of Russia for Amur region is investigating the incident. According to the results of the investigation, it will be decided to initiate criminal proceedings or not.
