On January 4, the State Border Service (SBS) detained two people—Azerbaijani citizens Khasmammadov Sanan Samad oglu (1983) and Khasmammadov Elvin Azer oglu (1981)—who attempted to enter Georgian territory via a border checkpoint in Aghstafa’s Sadikhli village, the SBS press service told APA.
It turned out that the two wanted to leave the country in an illegal way because they were indebted to several banks and a court had issued a restriction order preventing them from leaving the country
On January 8, Azerbaijani citizen Orujov Khagani Soltan oglu (1985) attempted to enter Russian territory via a border checkpoint in Gusar’s Samur village. An investigation revealed that the person had committed a crime and was wanted.
Investigations into both cases are continuing.
