Criminal proceedings suspended in case of head of Azerbaijani State Committee’s Office - <span style="color: red;">EXCLUSIVE

Baku. Shahriyar Alizade – APA. Criminal proceedings have been ceased in the case of Safar Imanov, former head of the Office of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, as he is wanted for fleeing the country, APA has learned.

Safar Imanov is accused of embezzling $170,000 from a citizen under the guise of granting him/her a position of executive authority deputy head.

The Anti-Corruption Department under the Prosecutor General launched a criminal case on the fact under articles # 178.3.2 (fraud on a large scale) and 308.2 (abuse of power) of the Criminal Code.
