Haji Javad mosque in Sovetsky locality in Baku has no registration, deputy chief of the Baku City Main Police Department, police Major General Sahlab Baghirov told APA.
Haji Abdulrahimbey Gulubeyov mosque has already been demolished in Sovetsky and Haji Javad mosque is expected to be demolished, too
Baghirov noted that all the buildings in that area come in the way of a construction plan.
“That structure which is used as a mosque is in the plan, too. The fate of that structure is up to whatever decision will be made,” he said.
Baghirov also commented on reports on social networks that there is a growing unrest in the area.
“I was in the area as, too. There wasn’t any unrest. Whatever the law requires will be acted on,” he said.
