Baku. Malahat Najafova – APA. The investigation into the murder of an Azerbaijani citizen by an Armenian national in Crimea has been suspended, Rahim Humbatov, head of the Azerbaijani community in Crimea, informed APA.

“Earlier, I had appealed to the Investigation Committee to get information about the course of investigation into the murder of an Azerbaijani citizen by an Armenian national in Yalta,” said Humbatov. “I was told that the criminal case launched on the murder of Rahil Mehdiyev has been suspended after the suspect fled to Armenia and was declared internationally wanted. Local law-enforcement agencies have appealed to the relevant Armenian bodies with a request for the arrest of the suspect.”

The incident that occurred in a market in Yalta last year was caused by the fact that Rahil Mehdiyev embarrassed an Armenian citizen for his robbery in the market.
