"The accident occurred at the sixth block of the Mingachevir TPS today and resulted a fire in the area. Fire brigades, equipment were imadiately involved in the scene and the fire was extinguished within 20 minutes," Minister of Emergency Situations, Colonel-General Kemaleddin Heydarov told APA.
The Minsiter said that maintenance works are being implemented at the damaged TPS block.
"The electricity supply to the north and some western regions of the country has been restored, and is being restored to other regions," he said.
K. Heydarov said that electricity supply will be gradually restored in the country: "There is no reason for panic and concern".
