Three masked people reportedly broke into the house of an Azerbaijani family (the Allahverdiyevs) residing in Georgia around 12:00 at night, APA’s Georgia bureau reported.

The assailants hit Alirza Allahverdiyev, his wife and 18-year-old daughter with a Kalashnikov and tied them in another room. The family members were then tortured.

The robbers went through all the items in search of money and jewelries. The motive behind the robbery has turned out to be the fact that the family sold 19 heads of cattle for 20,000 laris. They took away 5,000 laris, as well as more than 10 jewelry items.

The fact is under investigation. The house is currently under police control.
