The director general of Turan News Agency, Mehman Aliyev, has been sentenced to a 3-month pretrial detention by Baku’s Yasamal district court, APA reported.
A criminal case has already been initiated against Mehman Aliyev under articles â„– 192.2 (illegal entrepreneurship), 213.1 (tax evasion) and 308 (abuse of power).

The director general of Turan News Agency, Mehman Aliyev, now faces additional charge of illegal entrepreneurship, lawyer Fuad Aghayev told APA.
According to the layer, a criminal case has already been initiated against Mehman Aliyev under articles â„– 192.2 (illegal entrepreneurship), 213.1 (tax evasion) and 308 (abuse of power).
On the proposal of the investigative body, M. Aliyev was taken to the Yasamal District Court for choosing a preventive measure in his respect in the form of arrest, the lawyer said.
