Prosecutor seeks 12-year sentence for ex-CMO employee charged with treason

Baku. Shahriyar Alizade – APA. Baku Court of Grave Crimes continued on Tuesday the trial of theologian Elshan Mustafaoglu, an ex-employee of the Caucasian Muslims Office (CMO), who was arrested in 2014 on treason charges.

 

During the hearing, a state prosecutor asked for a 12-year jail term for the accused.

 

The trial will proceed on Dec. 13.
