Suspect in Baku shop owner murder turned out to be mentally ill - UPDATED

Baku. Hafiz Heydarov – APA. The Interior Ministry has issued a statement on the murder committed in a shop in Bina settlement, Baku.  

 

The body of previously convicted resident of Bina Zakir Majidov was found with gunshot wounds in a shop in the settlement.  

 

As a result of operative search actions taken by law-enforcement forces, Rauf Jabrayilov, suspected of murdering Majidov, was detained, and a TOZ-16 rifle and two cartridges were seized from him.

 

According to information, Jabrayilov suffers from mental illness.

Baku. Hafiz Heydarov – APA. A murder was committed in a shop in Baku’s Bina settlement, Khazar district police office told APA.

 

38-year old Baku resident Rauf Jabrayilov shot dead 47-year old shop owner Zakir Majidov over a dispute.

 

As a result of joint operations carried out by police officers and employees of prosecutor’s office, Jabrayilov was detained. The shotgun he used was seized.

 

Khazar district prosecutor’s office has launched a criminal case, investigation is underway.
