Armed incident in Baku leaves one injured

An armed incident took place in Sabunchu settlement of Baku on Jan. 24 night, local police told APA.

Baku resident Seymur Shahaliyev (1990) fired shots from a pistol at Renault car driven by Eldaniz Eyvazov (1983). The car's windows were broken. One of the bullets scraped Eyvazov’s head.

After receiving emergency medical care, Eyvazov was discharged from hospital. He told in his initial testimony in hospital that he fell down and was injured, but it was later revealed that he received a bullet wound.

The suspect has already been detained. The pistol was seized from him.

According to preliminary information, the incident occurred over the debt. Shahaliyev fired on Eyvazov as he demanded his money.

The investigation is underway on the incident.
