Baku. Shahriyar Alizade – APA. The Baku Court of Grave Crimes on Wednesday continued the trial of Taleh Baghirov, Fuad Gahramanli, and others.

Nardaran resident Valeh Abbasov gave testimony as a witness. He did not confirm his testimony to preliminary investigation, saying he cannot read and write.

Then his testimony to preliminary investigation was announced. He admitted to having visited Nardaran resident Abulfaz Bunyatov’s house upon hearing that Taleh was staying in there. Valeh said he saw Taleh there twice, noting that the latter, apart from religious talks, was speaking of devising a coup in Azerbaijan, getting armed, and establishing a religious state. “I realized that they were planning on a coup, so I left them.”

Another witness, Mashtagha resident Bakhtiyar Ashurov, also said he has seen Taleh preaching against government.

Another witness, Samir Babayev, said they visited the Sabunchu district police department on Nov.5 last year to learn details of Elchin Gasimov’s arrest, adding that they were held in there for a day and then released. Samir said he has not seen Taleh speaking out against government. The witness said he was questioned by Islam Aghabeyov at the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime, while attorneys said Aghabeyov is a victim in the case and made another petition for his re-interrogation. The court rejected the petition.

Ilgar Atakishiyev gave a testimony at the hearing after the break.

He said he met Fuad Gahramanli on social network. He said he signed most part of his testimony without reading it during the investigation. He commented on Gahramanli’s statuses, but didn’t think about a coup after reading his statuses.

Atakishiyev said in his testimony during preliminary investigation that he liked Gahramanli’s last status on Facebook. But he didn’t intend to support him. He said he didn’t have any acquaintance with Fuad Gahramanli in life or on social network, he met his photos and articles on media and social network. Atakishiyev noted that he doesn’t like Gahramanli’s political opinions as he calls on people to rallies, protests, indiscipline, riots and overthrowing the government by force.
