Al Qaeda kills British hostage

Baku –APA. Al Qaeda’s North Africa wing claimed it has executed British hostage Edwin Dyer, APA reports. The organization “Al-Qaeda in Islamic Maghreb†said in the statement posted on its website that it carried out threat to kill Dyer if the British government did not release cleric Abu Qatada from prison. The organization claimed that it killed Dyer on May 31 and blamed Britain in carelessness for its citizens. The terrorists took four tourists, British, German and two Swiss, hostages in Niger on January 22. Some of them were released later, but British and Swiss tourists were taken away to Mali.
