International Monetary Fund prepares for the large-scale restoration of Ukraine

The International Monetary Fund has increased emergency funding to help Ukraine, said IMF Executive Director Kristalina Georgieva, APA reports.

He said that a special account has been opened for future funding and preparations are underway for the reconstruction of Ukraine together with international partners.

"The IMF has increased emergency funding by $ 1.4 billion to help Ukraine meet its emergency spending needs. Last week, we also launched a special account that provides a safe path for Ukraine's future financing. We are preparing for recovery with international partners." said Georgieva.

IMF Executive Director added that the main priorities now are to end the war in Ukraine, fight the pandemic, and fight inflation and debt.
