Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA-Economics. $14 880 800 worth of 84 772.4 tons of wheat and $1 303 700 worth of 5 459.4 tons of flour were imported to Azerbaijan during January, said the State Customs Committee.
Compared to the same month last year, wheat imports declined by 6.1% while flour imports increased by 2.6 times.
Wheat and flour imports to Azerbaijan are free of VAT.
1 309 284.9 tons of wheat and 106 907.1 tons of flour were imported to the country in 2008.
