Azerbaijan decreases tea export by 5.5%, while increases import by 2.1% in January-October

During January-October of this year, Azerbaijan exported 1 121,08 tons of tea valued at $ 7 703,92 in total, the State Customs Committee told APA-Economics.

Compared to the same period of the last year, during ten months of the current year, the value of the tea exported from Azerbaijan decreased by 1.6%, while its volume decreased by 5.5%.

In the reporting period, the overall share of tea in the total volume of export equaled to 0,06%, while its specific weight in export of non-oil products equaled to 0,53%.

Besides, in the reporting period, 11 381,29 tons of tea with a total value of $ 46 256,65 thousand were imported into Azerbaijan. Compared with the same period of the last year, the value of the imported tea increased by 6%, while its volume increased by up to 2.1%.

In the reporting period, the share of tea in the total volume of import made up 0,38%.

As is seen, during the past 10 months of the current year, the tea import prevailed over tea export by more than 10 times in Azerbaijan.
