Azerbaijan doubled potato import from Iran this year

38 880,86 tones of potato worth USD 9,349(15,893 mln manat) has been imported to Azerbaijan in January-February of this year, the State Statistics Committee told APA-Economics.

According to the calculations, potato import has increased by 24,2% in terms of volume, and by 20,9% in terms of value in the reporting period.

96,2% of the potato brought to Azerbaijan in the first two months of the current year has been imported from Iran. Thus, in the reporting period, Iran has supplied 37 386,11 tones of potato worth 8,973 mln dollars ( 15,254 mln manat) to Azerbaijan, and this is 2 times more both in terms of volume and value in the reporting period.
