Azerbaijan sent 180 thousand tones of tomatoes to Russia last year

In 2020, Azerbaijan sent 187 539,38 tonnes of fresh and frozen tomatoes worth $201,354 mln to foreign markets, according to calculations conducted by APA-Economics based on the report State Statistics Committee.
The volume of exported tomatoes increased by 7,4% last year. When it comes to exporting directions, last year, most tomatoes were sent to Russia. So, in 2020, Azerbaijan sent 179 884,75 tonnes of tomatoes worth $197,414 mln. to Russia and this is 4,1% more in annual comparison. The neighboring country accounted for 95,9% of Azerbaijan's tomato export market.
