Global Environment Fund has supported the project of Office of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization in Azerbaijan aimed at the fight against degradation of lands in Absheron Peninsula with support of Great Britain, Ambassador of United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Azerbaijan James Sharp wrote on Twitter, APA reports.
Ambassador noted that Great Britain is one of the main donors of the Global Environment Fund: "Great Britain companies also fight against the degradation of lands together with the Azerbaijani government."
