“Azerbaijan's export to the European Union (EU) does not end with hydrocarbons, there is a great potential for the supply of hazelnuts and tomato paste to Europe,” said the head of the EU delegation to Azerbaijan, Ambassador Kestutis Jankauskas at the opening ceremony of Virtual Entrepreneurship Fair within project “Accelerating development of sustainable micro-entrepreneurship in rural regions of Azerbaijan”, APA-Economics reports.
“Look at tomato in Azerbaijan. They are not in the EU yet. Why not start exporting this product?” Ambassador said.
Jankauskas added that while other markets are volatile, new sustainable export markets such as the EU are open for Azerbaijan.
