Russia allows import of tomatoes from 15 more Azerbaijani enterprises

Russia's Rosselkhoznadzor has allowed the import of tomatoes into Russia from 15 Azerbaijani enterprises since January 1, the Agency said in a statement, APA reports quoting TASS.

"Based on the results of the negotiations, in accordance with the information provided and under the guarantees of the competent department of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Rosselkhoznadzor considered it possible to authorize the import of tomatoes into Russia from 15 Azerbaijani enterprises located in areas in 2020 where South American tomato moth", - said in the message.

Earlier, the Rosselkhoznadzor allowed the import of tomatoes from 17 more Azerbaijani enterprises. As previously reported, Rosselkhoznadzor has banned the import of tomatoes and apples from Azerbaijan since December 10 due to the discovery of objects quarantine for the EAEU - the South American tomato moth and the eastern moth.
