Since December 17, the Rosselkhoznadzor has allowed the import of tomatoes into Russia from four more enterprises in Azerbaijan, APA reports quoting RIA Novosti.

On Tuesday, the Rosselkhoznadzor reported that it had allowed the import of tomatoes into Russia from one enterprise in Azerbaijan from December 16.

"The Rosselkhoznadzor considers it possible to allow the import of tomatoes from the Republic of Azerbaijan to the territory of the Russian Federation from December 17, 2020 under the guarantees of the Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan from enterprises located in areas where the identification of quarantine objects for the EAEU member states was not previously recorded," in the message.

Permits were issued to companies: Geothermal (Kurdemir region), Shukurov Ilkin Mirzakhan (Masalli region), Gp Alfa greenhouse LLC (Salyan region), Hajigabul greenhouse LLC (Hajigabul region).

Recall that the Rosselkhoznadzor has banned the import of tomatoes and apples from Azerbaijan to Russia since December 10. The reason is the detection of pests in the products: the South American tomato moth and the eastern moth.
