Azerbaijan increased fruit and vegetable export by up to 8%

In January-March of this year, Azerbaijan exported 97 033,38 tonnes of fruit and vegetable in the amount of USD 124 928,05 thousand to foreign countries, according to the calculations of APA-Economics based on the report of the State Customs Committee.

The value of the exported fruit and vegetable has increased by 28,5% and volume by 7,9% in comparison to the January-March of the previous year.

Note that fruit- vegetable products exported from Azerbaijan were mainly tomatoes, hazelnuts, apples, dates, potatoes, and pomegranates. In the reporting period, 31 763,15 tonnes of tomatoes worth USD 38 822,28 thousand has been exported that which is respectively 82,6% and 62,7% more in comparison to the same period of the previous year.
