Scientists of Severtsov Institute of Ecology and Evolution of the Russian Academy of Sciences forecast emerald ash borer (Agrilus planipennis), which is a dangerous pest of ash species, to spread in the Caucasus, APA reports.

Approach of the pest to the Caucasus shows that condition of ash species in the region should be attentively followed, pest centers should be destroyed at first sight, as well as other measures should be prepared to fight against the pest.
