“Armenia announced mobilization during the April battles. They went from Yerevan to Karabakh, but they could not get there," Azerbaijani Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov said this in an interview with AzTV, ONA reports.
He said that during the April battles 20% of the Azerbaijani army defeated the Armenian army in 3-4 days: “We launched a counteroffensive. Despite this, our losses were less than three times. Every our martyr is dear to us. But we have no other way; we must protect our Homeland. The fighting went into a very difficult from a military point of view phase. From direct contact with the enemy at night, in the mountains, we launched a counterattack. Our army demonstrated high combat capability. Wounded officers did not leave the battle. A small part of the Azerbaijani army defeated the Armenian in three days. They have no strength. They tried to attack in this direction, but without success. One Azerbaijani tank hit a mine, then we restored it, while Armenia lost 30 tanks. We lost one artillery, and Armenian15, they lost more than 300 personnel. The results of the April battles became tragic for Armenia. Their whole policy consisted in the lie propagated to their people in connection with Karabakh. They said that they had built a defense line. Within 18 minutes, the Azerbaijani army defeated this line. After that, they fled.”
