Israel has signed wheat production and cultivation agreements with Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, aiming to maintain Israel's food security, the Israeli Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said in a statement on Tuesday, APA reports citing Xinhua.

The two agreements were signed in Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan during visits by Israeli Agriculture Minister Avi Dichter to both countries, which concluded on Tuesday.

The agreements will allow Israel to share its knowledge and technology in wheat production, including irrigation, soil conservation, and plant protection, with Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.

The Israeli ministry noted that similar agreements will also be promoted in European and African countries in order to help increase Israeli wheat imports
