United States President Donald Trump said on Thursday a vaccine for the coronavirus could be ready around November 3, the date of the 2020 presidential election, APA reports citing Reuters.

In an interview with Geraldo Rivera on Newsradio WTAM 1100, the president reiterated he believes to have done an "unbelievable job" in handling the pandemic in the US, particularly with his ban on travel from China and Europe, as well as testing.

In the latest news surrounding a potential COVID-19 treatment, US company Novavax has announced promising results regarding its vaccine following an early-stage clinical trial.
