United States President Donald Trump stressed on Thursday that Washington will not renegotiate the trade agreement it signed with China in January, expressing confidence that Beijing will honor the deal by buying $250 billion worth of US goods, APA reports citing Teletrader.

"China should have stopped the coronavirus at its source," he reiterated in an interview for Fox Business, adding that Beijing allowed it to spread globally through "stupidity, incompetence or deliberately." The US government has a lot of information on China's early response, Trump revealed, without disclosing the specifics, but claiming that it is "not good."

The US commander-in-chief questioned Beijing's policy of allowing outbound travel, but banning movement inside China in the earlier stages of the outbreak. "What was that about?", Trump wondered.
