Baku-APA. The US will treat suspect Sayfullo Saipov, 29, as an "enemy combatant" moving forward, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Wednesday.
US President Donald Trump’s administration may add Uzbekistan to its list of countries included in the travel ban after the deadly terror attack in New York, Sanders told reporters on Wednesday, APA reports quoting sputniknews.
When asked whether Uzbekistan will be added to the list, Sanders said, "That is not something we have called for at this time, but certainly have not ruled it out."
"My administration is coordinating closely between federal and local officials to investigate the attack and to further investigate this animal who did the attacking," Trump said during opening remarks at a cabinet meeting Wednesday.
